Have you seen the ATOM S3? Seems to fit better in (maybe not only) my hobby budget :-)

I agree, this module is little bit expensive but some users seems to be interested (they already own)

The Atom S3 is probably already supported (maybe not for the display).

Does it have any PSRAM? That is the attraction of the Core 2 over the basic M5Stacks. None mentioned on the spec page as far as I could see, though lots of flash.
