Re: What do you think about this?
Oh wow, if you are you saying it would be possible to use vga monitor to monitor system output msgs instead of serial, that would be another big step forward for Annex.
And for the benefit of others, vga monitors are available cheap from places like cash converters - I have bought them for as little as 20 quid -
which makes them much more cost-effective and long-lasting than the latest expensive hi-tec displays.
EDIT - so is vgaOUT like an inbuilt vga server capability ?

Are you saying it can host mDNS server? That really would be a bonus. No need to note all those IP addresses.

Yes, this seems to work well, including on windows that introduced the mDNS support only recently.[Local Link Removed for Guests] wrote: [Local Link Removed for Guests]Wed Aug 16, 2023 9:02 pm Are you saying it can host mDNS server? I think this should enhance even more the user experience that should be :
- flash the device giving the wifi login and password plus the name of the device
- then ...... simply type http://name_of_the_device and voilà

Re: What do you think about this?
Oh, you are such a tease Francesco - I did notice that your firmware was up to 1.51.1 already... is probably even higher by now !
Re: What do you think about this?
I believe that it is an advantage, thus i can connect to the device ony by local name regardless the IP changes during DHCP lease expires.
Re: What do you think about this?
Sounds great, no need for static addresses. Every chip just needs a unique descriptive name that is not too long to type. Ubuntu (which I use) has been able to do it since 2018 it seems, though I have never investigated it.
Is this a current or future feature of Annex 32? does it need much ram?
I can't imagine where you get the time to do all this.

Re: What do you think about this?
simple question: where does your example output above come from? I never see anything like that. Everything I see is via the editor and other windows. Which is probably all I need. But you seem to have a different data stream.
