What VGA pins will be eventually be used Francesco ?
If pins 1,2,3,9,10,12,13,14,15,GND will suffice I'll get the smaller 3+6 Male screw connector, else it will need to be the 3+9.

The pins required are just 5. + Ground.

So the 3+6 is ok. However I suggest to take a female to realise a short connection between the esp32 and the connector then you can continue with a standard male-male VGA cable.
Waiting for the connector you can just use Dupont wires directly in the connector of the VGA cable (exactly as I'm doing actually)

I just received my two modules. Externally they are identical to those of Robin:

You can simply start with 3 resistors of 330 Ohm on the 3 colors.

Robin, if you want full colors you need more resistances.

I'll publish a more detailed schematic to obtain 256 colors

Basically for 8 bits, at least 8 resistors.
