ESP32 deep sleep current

Post by Zim »

HI
I can't get less than 10ma current draw in deep sleep. Its a "ESP32-wroom-32u". Am I missing something, or is this as good as it gets?

Thanks

Change of plans. Found a timer, good for up to 40 days and less than 40uA. for under a dollar. C005

Excellent find, thank you. Looks to solve a problem I'm looking at.

26 cents apiece U.S. for 10, including shipping: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802110786079.html

Can you post your entire powering circuit? If it would work, the current from the module might be sufficient to switch a low-side mosfet to power on an ESP. Any reason why low-side wouldn't work?

What circuit would be appropriate for high-side, assuming that the approximately 30mA from the device wouldn't directly power an ESP32 S2Mini (which when idling seems to take about 50mA).

that is exactly what I'm using it for, and how I plan on connecting it. I think the link I posted has some examples for hook up....
Another option may be to use the ESP stand alone module with no overhead on a breakout board. I will also look into that...
