This is with an esp32 mini wemos connected with the PC

always 1.51.6

with wifi.power 2 with wifi.power 19.5

My default ESP32 nodemcu works fine with 1.51.3!
I see high transmit power by default and can use Wifi.power as expected even in AP mode

But the ATOM pico devices (lite and echo) behave as strange as described before.
And yesterday I also tried it with an M5 Core, without success.
I will continue researching in this direction ...
