what is your version?
I'm actually trying the 1.51.3 and I see the difference when I change WiFi.power

edit:
I see the information that reports my WIFI router, I can see clearly the difference when I change the power

Yes, you're right, Francesco

My default ESP32 nodemcu works fine with 1.51.3!
I see high transmit power by default and can use Wifi.power as expected even in AP mode

But the ATOM pico devices (lite and echo) behave as strange as described before.
And yesterday I also tried it with an M5 Core, without success.
I will continue researching in this direction ...
