But if you can't see the effect - it must be my type of Module (Type as I tried 3 different)

I'm actually trying the 1.51.3 and I see the difference when I change WiFi.power

My default ESP32 nodemcu works fine with 1.51.3!
I see high transmit power by default and can use Wifi.power as expected even in AP mode
But the ATOM pico devices (lite and echo) behave as strange as described before.
And yesterday I also tried it with an M5 Core, without success.
I will continue researching in this direction ...
