That's what I thought, too. In my opinion, this leads to a regular delay until full access is granted - but with a very satisfactory result.
Since I've deleted some obviously "bad" posts and users in the past as a quick reaction, I wanted to readjust my watching focus right now. The final activation should therefore sensibly remain entirely in your hands.

I've just noted that, since the introduction of the mandatory questions for the registration, we haven't received any spammer.
I hope that this do not stopped also the "regular" users into the registration process because, since then, we received only one or two new users.
I'll continue to monitor and, if the situation remains stable, maybe I'll come slightly back restoring the automatic registration
