Re: PCB for ESP32-S3 with VGA

Post by cicciocb »

I received the boards some some days ago and I'm actually testing one of these.
So far all seems to work (in particular the VGA), there is a minor issue about the SDCARD adapter that must be mounted upside-down (the symbol in the library I found is wrong) but it fits very well on the board even upside-down.

I'll continue the testing in next days, and, is someone is interested, I'll publish the gerber files as I understood that sharing the project seems to be more a problem than a solution

If someone wants a finished board in "D", just write a PM.
Costs with letter delivery €2.50.

Yes, it's not that much more expensive compared to EU: Austria or France, for example.

I think that is cheaper to order 5 boards directly from JLPCB than sending one in europe

That's true in proportion, one or the other says like me:
What should I do with 5 boards or don't want to have anything to do with the hassle of ordering?

When you say "finished" Helmut, does that mean it has the surface mount resistors fitted, cos that would certainly give it a worthwhile advantage over 5 bare smd pcbs.

I have both versions. SMD or solder eyes. Everyone does the loading according to their own tasks.

Cicciocb - I have finally got around to putting components on your board initially only planning to drive a IL9341 LCD. I am struggling to understand the connections to the LCD compared to the Help document and particular the LED power connection which is to GP46. Could you provide some sample programmes to show the settings please? Thanks Phil
