With Annex VGA in mind, here are some cheapo items which may be of interest...

This 3,32€ VGA to HDMI Converter (with Audio) works well, allowing Annex VGA to connect to a spare TV HDMI skt, or a HDMI switch.
(Annex VGA is very impressive on a big TV screen).

A 2 port VGA KVM switch is currently on special offer for 4,38€.
It can obviously just be used manually to switch between 2 VGA inputs to 1 output (VGA monitor), but it's easy-peasy to solder a couple of wires across its tactile button to allow the switching to be done remotely, either by a remote button or by Annex relay contacts.
VGA only uses R,G,B,H-sync,V-sync, and GND, so the 15 pin VGA connector has spare pins available allowing an Annex relay to actuate the KVM switch down the VGA cable to avoid running separate wires, if wished

A pair of cheap Infrared transmitter and receiver modules is available for only 1,54€ if you want to use an existing IR remote controller to switch between TV and Annex VGA (Annex IR works very well) rather than need a wifi OTG remote controller.

So whether your existing main display is a TV or monitor, Annex VGA can be integrated with it very effectively and cheaply.
