You can't, must be done in the firmware.

Try this one, should work for you (without H/W changes)

Still the same - reports flash success, but no SSID available.
Just to confirm, was 1.50.1, flashed in USB mode using QIO with button held in continuously.

Probably you should also make the H/W modification.

Can you confirm that you flashed with USB mode even though the device has serial uart and automatically reports device id from blue button in normal (not USB) mode ?

This module does not have a USB to serial chip, the USB is supported by the chipset itself.

The version you loaded is the good one, you could just confirm what you have in the serial terminal.

Use the web terminal [Local Link Removed for Guests] because the one included in the toolkit do not works properly with these chips.

The later version seems to include a low value choke and an extra capacitor on the 3.3 volt supply.

I see that there is an extra inductor on the pin 2-3 but, anyway, the antenna is completely different.
It costs around 1€ more and it includes a neopixel led.
