Any chance of supporting a generic one-wire driver?
My goto temperature sensor is the DS18B20 which is a one wire device.
Although it is well supported by the TEMPR$ command, there are many ways it can be addressed via direct one-wire commands giving access to other features.
In particular, the TEMPR$ holds things up for a good 750mS, whereas with one-wire support a conversion could be triggered (for a specified sensor in a long string of them), then go off and do something useful while you wait for 750mS and then read the temperature (at a resolution of your choice).
Also, there a many other on-wire devices which could be used if there were a generic way of sending one-wire commands.
I think this could be a feature that others might also find useful.
ONE-WIRE generic support.
