Thanks for the quick response cicciocb, unfortunately, I only have access to a Linux Mint system.
I can see and program a standard ESP32 ( the TTGO module with an ESP32-DOWD06 chip) via USB C connection using Annex Toolkit with no problems - it is the -C3 version on the T-PicoC3 module that I can not read or program.

Looking at the log, it appears that I am not setting/resetting the RTS line which I guess should put the unit into program mode?? Is it necessary to manually apply a 'program mode' connection?

As an aside, are there any other users out there running Linux Mint trying to connect to the LILYGO T-PicoC3 module with Annex Toolkit?
Thanks, Doug.

Did you put the module in programming mode putting the pin GPIO9 to GND?

https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp ... ction.html

Important : put the pin GPIO9 to GND and THEN connect the USB cable to your PC (obviously putting the cable in the right orientation for the ESP32-c3 > green led ON)

Hi All,

Is there a link to download only AnnexToolKit 1.1 the whole 192megabytes is a bit heavy
from google drive for just the new Toolkit.

I'm not upto scratch with ESP32.

If not possible I will stick to the old AnnexToolkit

Cheers, Hanspeter.

Hi,

I love your idea, I love the execution, it's a great tool. I would really appreciate one more update for the 8266 version, purely as I'd love to use my RGB matrix with text up the right way (need the chars up the other way). Also, would like to have some of the optimisations (2x) on the slower 8266 where it could make the bigger difference. I also like the ESP32, but it runs hotter, requires more power. But if there's a work-around for the text being upside down let me know please, I ended up creating my own routines and font for text, but obviously doesn't scroll as smoothly!

I'm also using one to control my central heating, for the past couple of years, which has been working really well. And I really appreciate your work on continual improvements. It's a terrific project, with real value. Just for fun here's a screen shot of my central heating app. :D
