ESP8266 super power saving at 3uA, EN pin vs. Deep sleep

Post by Palm Liu »

Recently, I find several discussion on ESP8266 using EN instead of Deep sleep, is it possible (or Safe) to use EN pin?

I have try using EN pin, when EN pin set low, ESP-12F goes to very low power consumption state, when set EN pin back to high, module react same as Reset ….

I think that is a good idea to save power, the only drawback I can see is that the RTC memory is lost (compared to the deep sleep mode)
